Mood? Exhausted but very Pumped and Happy
Man this has been an awesome weekend!!!
But I am so incredibly tired and just plain dead from all the stuff that I did. 2 nights at Waffle House, knocking on doors at 3 am and playin' a lot of awesome music. (By the way... if you have any feedback from this weekend as far as worship went, then sent it my way: jdholli@clemson.edu )
I don't know what it is, but when you get a bunch of people together who are all about serving Christ, and "making themselves 3rd" it becomes a great weekend. Worship was a lot of fun to lead and and to be a part of. I have some new friends who I am looking forward to getting to know and its gonna be fun YO!!! I learned a lot about what I need to expect out on the mission fied in New Orleans this summer and I can't wait to find out exactly what I am going to be doing day in and day out. Man I am pumped!!!
I also learned a lot from Morgan Hill, our speaker. He taught a lot about how we are supposed to be leaders in whatever we do, and that leadership is defined by influence. You lead whoever you influence. Also, your leadership should model that of Christ, you should be a servant completely and that is how you lead, by word and example. I also learned a lot about sharing my faith and some of the challenges I will have leading others.
I think the song "Go and Be" by Audio Adrenaline sums up the purpose of this weekend and totally gives me a way to express it.
