Barry Bonds...

mood? Burnt to a crisp...
music? Where The Sun Never Dies - Blindside
muse? Jeremiah 32:41

So I found God again today... but guess where, and no it's not in Barry Bonds... I found him in a ruffian bunch of Tee-ballers! Get this. I was watching some of these precious kids run and have fun, some passionate and others distracted. It was a picture of the church. There is always the coach, giving us the right direction, and we do or don't listen. We're just like those kids. We're in the middle of a game that we don't fully understand, and we do and don't pay attention. There were two boys in particular that caught my attention. One was a driven child. He was fully focused on the ball, and hung on the Coach's every word. It was really cool. I found myself saying, "now that's gonna be a baseball player" where as some of those kids aren't ever going to pick up a baseball again. There was another boy, who, ironically, is named Jonathan. He gave up halfway through his game... He begged for his mom and didn't want to play anymore. John Flynn, the other ump, had to guide him to bat and pushed him, not in a mean way, towards first. The child was hopeless. He wasn't moving, listening, or putting forth any effort. I find that's where we are a lot in our spiritual walks. We don't know exactly what's going on, but we have God guiding us.
Then we take two approaches:
1. Not caring at all(Noah's approach)
2. Being Passionate (David's approach)
And some make so much noise and carry on so much that they don't even hear God. Well I hope I'm not completely insane, but I'm glad that God is teaching me about himself through the daily things that I see and do. : )
Later
